CN Dining Car Arrives At Owen Sound Waterfront

A 1953 C-N Rail dining car has arrived in Owen Sound. The 85 foot long car was moved through the city this morning and hoisted by a giant crane onto tracks at the Owen Sound Marine Rail Museum. People lined the streets to see the move. The dining car will stay on site at Owen Sound's Marine Rail Museum as an additional attraction on the waterfront. Chamberlain says it's possible it could become a restaurant. The Community Waterfront Heritage Centre operates the museum. Board chair Jan Chamberlain says the car has garnered a lot of interest.

"Very thrilling and to have all the public come and be supportive and happy with it, it's really very very rewarding," said Chamberlain.
