This Sunday's annual Goderich Triathlon is sold out.
Race Director Jeremiah Sommer says entries are up significantly this year and they've been sold out for some time.
He says there are three races this year; the Olympic distance triathlon which is a 1 km swim, a 42 km bike ride and a 10 km run.
A slightly less challenging competition consists of a 375 m swim, a 15 km bike ride and a 2.5 km run.
The third option is a du-athlon, with the swimming removed.
That consists of a 2.5 km run, a 28 km bike ride and then a 5 km run.
Sommer says the races start within about five minutes of each other at around 8:30am on the Goderich main beach.
Sommer asks motorists to be aware that there will be an unusual number of cyclists and runners on the roads within Goderich and the county roads outside of Goderich on Sunday morning.
Sommer says proceeds from the Triathlon are given back to a variety of not-for-profit community organizations.
Last year's proceeds went to the Maitland Trail Association and they will continue to support non-profit organizations, but this year the proceeds will go to help support the Sawchuck family.
Julie Sawchuck of Blyth is now paralysed from the neck down after she was struck by a car while riding her bike on County Rd. 25 earlier this month as part of her training for a triathlon.
