Beaches Test Under Provincial E.coli Limit

Beaches in Huron County are all open for swimming this weekend.

In a tweet from the health unit, all 14 beaches tested under the provincial standard for E.coli based on yesterday's sampling.

On the Grey-Bruce Health Unit's website, it shows all 12 beaches that are tested, are safe to swim at.

Huron County Beaches:

  • Ashfield Township Park Beach
  • Bayfield Main Beach
  • Bayfield South Beach
  • Black’s Point Beach
  • Goderich – Main Beach
  • Goderich – Rotary Cove Beach
  • Goderich – St. Christopher’s Beach
  • Hay Township Park Beach
  • Houston Heights Beach
  • Port Albert Beach
  • Port Blake Beach
  • St. Joseph’s Beach
  • Sunset Beach
Grey-Bruce Beaches:
  • Black Creek - Northern Bruce Peninsula
  • Durham Conservation Area – Middle Dam - West Grey
  • Kelso Beach -Owen Sound
  • Lion’s Head Beach - Northern Bruce Peninsula
  • Little River Park - Blue Mountains
  • Northwinds - Blue Mountains
  • Port Elgin Gobles Grove

Youth volunteers practice coastal conservation

Nine young volunteers aged 11 to 17 spent three days exploring and protecting the Lake Huron coastline during the Coastal Conservation Youth Corps' inaugural program in Grand Bend from July 21 to 23.
