Green Arc Tire Gets Official Go-Ahead From Province

Green Arc Tire in St. Marys says they have been given the official go-ahead from the Ontario government.

In a media release, the company says it has received Environmental Compliance Approval from Ontario’s Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change.

“We are delighted that the company has met all requirements, and now has the official go-ahead to start putting people to work,” says CEO Mike DiCenzo in the release.

Green Arc plans on hiring 340 people once it is up-and-running, with 25% of those positions reserved for former Canadian Armed Forces members.

Officials say production is expected to start in around four months.
