Feathered Friends Flock To Huron County Museum

The Huron County Museum launches a three-part series on birds and bird-watching tomorrow.

It's called "Our Feathered Friends", and it's a travelling exhibit from the Museum of Nature in Ottawa.

The exhibit opens at 1pm, and features a presentation by the Maitland Trail Association's Roger Goddard, followed with a program of crafts and activities.

The second exhibit on July 18 is Birds of Prey, which promises either a live Great Horned Owl or a Red Tailed Hawk.

Acting Assistant Curator Will Kernohan says the presentation is in the theatre of the museum, but it only seats 50 people, so he suggests people arrive early.

The third phase is a bird identification hike, also on July 18, and that will start at the Menesetung Bridge.

More information about times and locations can be found on the Huron County Museum web site.
