Owen Sound will have new City Transit Routes starting June 15 of this year
Three of the four routes have been changed to ensure a high level of service, and keep each route on a 30-minute schedule.
Council revised the routes to reduce redundancy on the advice of a consultant. It's hoped the changes will eliminate continuous delays at the transit terminal.
The city is continuing with four routes -- Crosstown, Core, Brooke and East Bayshore.
The terminal at 1020 3rd Ave. E will serve as a Central Hub.
The major changes include a reversal of the East Bayshore bus, and a shortening of the Core route.
Heritage Place Mall will be served by the Core route, as will the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre.
The Crosstown route is unchanged, while the Brooke route is only slightly different.
The East Bayshore route will service the hospital, Home Depot and Walmart.
