Two Huron County residents are facing multiple criminal charges after police recovered stolen property from an Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh residence.
OPP officers from several detachments and specialized units executed a search warrant at a residence on St. Augustine Line.
Police recovered several stolen items including a wood stove, vehicle batteries, a Polaris ATV, a stamp collection and a chainsaw. The total value of the recovered stolen property is estimated at $10,000.
During the search, police located an air soft pistol and a crossbow. The male suspect was not allowed to be in possession of these items due to a court ordered.
45-year-old Michael Chapman and 40-year-old Katherine Upshall, both from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, are facing a number of charges, including five counts each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Chapman is to make a video court appearance today in Goderich court. Upshall was released from custody, with a court appearance scheduled for May 11 in Goderich.
