Southgate Township Man Charged In Break, Enter & Theft

A Southgate Township man faces charges after a break-in an theft from his parents home.

Grey County OPP were called just before 6 Monday morning after a break-in at a residence on Glenelg Street in the Township of Southgate.

Investigation revealed that the accused had forcibly entered his parents’ home while they were sleeping and removed several items belonging to them.

The suspect was confronted by his mother, who called police.

Officers found the accused walking on Main Street in Dundalk and he resisted arrest and attempted to damage the cruiser by kicking out the window.

The 36-year-old faces several charges including break and enter and resisting arrest.
