Entire Goderich To Guelph Rail Trail To Open This Summer

The entire Guelph to Goderich, or G2G rail trail, will open this summer thanks to a volunteer committee.

The fifth annual Spring on the Trail event takes place Saturday, May 9.

It's a fundraiser to support the 137 km trail that runs on former CPR Rail land between Guelph and Lake Huron.

You can register to walk, run, hike, or cycle the trail at springonthetrail.ca and all online contributions will receive a full Charitable Tax Receipt.

The volunteer advisory committee worked for five years and the entire trail is expected to open July 1.

Over the next several years the advisory group has plans to replace the larger bridges, which will allow families of all ages to travel safely and almost completely off road.

You can contact Goderich to Guelph Rail Trail at [email protected] or visit the webpage g2grailtrail.com.
