The Stratford General Hospital has been recognized for its energy conservation initiatives.
The hospital took home three awards at the recent Festival Hydro awards ceremony in Stratford.
The awards were in the categories of Large Commercial Retrofit, Business Audit Program, and Industrial Process and Systems. A Smart Energy System Feasibility Study rounded out the awards in the Industrial Process and Systems category.
Over 50 other Stratford and Perth County firms were honoured by Festival Hydro for their efforts over the past year to reduce consumption and demand at their workplaces through 'saveONenergy' programs.
"This recognition is a testament to the commitment not only of our Facilities Management Team, but the entire HPHA Team to energy conservation and stewardship," says Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance President and CEO Andrew Williams. "Major energy consumers, like the HPHA, need to ensure energy conservation remains a priority and Festival Hydro is commended for the leadership it provides to its partners in this important area."
