Grey Roots To Host Climate Change Talks

Local residents concerned about climate change may get some questions answered this spring at the Grey Roots Museum near Owen Sound.

The Museum's Spring Lecture Series is all about Climate Change. Dr. David Holah and several other guests will present lectures on Tuesday afternoons in the Theatre from March 24 through April 14, starting at 2:30pm.

Topics listed include the science of climate change and its fundamental cause, how climate change is affecting the world’s fresh water and the oceans, and what can we do about it.

The lectures in the series are free with regular admission to the Grey Roots Museum.

"Of all the courses I taught over the years, the one that perhaps gave me the most pleasure, biggest challenge and sometimes the greatest rewards involved teaching science to non science students," says Dr. Holah.

A retired professor from the Faculty of Chemistry at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Dr. Holah held numerous teaching and research positions at research facilities, government agencies and universities in Canada, the U.S., and the United Kingdom.

Lecture Series: March 24: The Science of Climate Change and its Fundamental Cause. March 31: How Climate Change is Affecting the World’s Fresh Water and the Oceans. April 7: What Can We Do About It? April 14: Climate Change Around the World and Here at Home.
