Bayfield At Full Capacity: Bluewater Mayor

The Municipality of Bluewater is currently working with Central Huron on a waste water management program for the north end of Bayfield and south end of Central Huron along the shoreline.

Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel adds they're now in the process of completing the terms of reference but there is some urgency on the part of Bluewater because that municipality no longer has any capacity.

"Bayfield is at the point where we're at full capacity," Hessel tells CKNX News. "Anyone who wants to buy any future development land would not be able to develop it because we don't have any infrastructure for sewer for that developer."

Hessel says they're currently looking at how they might be able to open one of two lots but right now anyone who as a lot that doesn't have a line in front of it could not build on that lot.

Hessel adds most of the potential development in the Bayfield area is along the shoreline and the municipality is limiting its ability to grow if it can't allow that development.
