Saugeen Shores residents affected by frozen waterlines are being offered a chance at a hot shower.

The Town of Saugeen Shores has opened the showers at Centennial Pool, in Port Elgin at no cost for those residents affected by frozen waterlines.

Saugeen Shores Community Services Director Jayne Jagelewski says those coming to the pool are reminded to bring their own towels and toiletries.

Centennial Pool hours are Monday and Wednesday 6am-1pm & 3:30-8:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday 7am-2pm & 3:30-8:30pm, Friday 6am-1pm & 3:30-7pm and Saturday and Sunday 12-2:30pm.

A reminder for for those who suspect their home may be at risk of a frozen line, it's recommended to continuously run a small slow stream of water from cold water tap until warmer weather is present.
