Meaford taxpayers are facing a proposed 1.54 per cent increase in their property taxes this year.
Earlier this week, Meaford council directed staff to remove a renovation project at the community centre and arena, saving around $30,000.
Council also asked for a reduction in the cost-of-living pay increase for municipal staff from two per cent to 1.5 per cent.
That would save the Municipality around $25,000.
CAO Denyse Morrissey says residents can learn about the budget by going to Meaford’s website Friday morning. There's also a public budget meeting Monday night at Meaford Hall, starting at 7pm.
