Around 1,500 pigs died this afternoon in a barn fire just south of Milverton.
24 firefighters from Milverton, Sebringville and Shakespeare in six tanker trucks and and two fire engines were called out to blaze on Perth Rd. 130.
Thick black smoke filled the sky at the height of the blaze.
Fire Chief Bill Hunter tells CKNX there were no injuries and a cause has yet to be determined.
