A group of local theatre enthusiasts are hoping to see the Wingham Town Hall Heritage Theatre open again.
The Theatre Committee came to North Huron Council to work on a plan to revitalize the theatre at no cost to the township.
The theatre needs new fire doors, sprinklers and heating and cooling systems. Early estimated costs to revitalize the theatre are around 100-thousand dollars.
Reeve Neil Vincent says the next step is for talks to begin between staff and the Town Hall Theatre Committee on a plan. North Huron staff will be preparing a report on how to see the plans move forward.
