Huron Healthkick Program Influences Naturopath Practitioner

A native of the Walton-Seaforth area, and recent graduate of the University of Guelph's Naturopathic Medicine program, says her participation in the Healtkick program influenced her career choices.

Rosanna Grobbink explains that Healthkick exposed her to many different opportunities in the health care field, including naturopathic medicine. She says Healthkick also helped her realize how much she appreciated her own upbringing in a rural community and made her want to give something back to that community.

Grobbink has practiced in London for a year since graduating but is now practising on Saturdays at the Good Earth Naturopathic Centre in Goderich and is hoping to build a local practice. Grobbink adds one of the benefits of the Healthkick program is gives participants first hand exposure to a wide range of health care careers and that helps they eliminate some that aren't right for them before they've invested a lot of time in them.
