Blyth Festival Realizes Surplus

The Blyth Festival is heading into a new year on a solid base.

This past season saw a six per cent increase in paid attendance for main stage performances. The festival is reporting a small surplus.

There's also been a 22 percent increase in "shoulder season" usage at the Memorial Hall, and a new artistic director is in place.

The festival plans to work closely with North Huron on a newer marketing plan to attract more theatre patrons and visitors to Blyth.
