A date has been set for a public meeting and update on the new Markdale hospital project.
The $50-million facility was approved by the province earlier this fall, thanks in part to the $12-million raised by the community over the past few years.
The hospital will include a 24/7 emergency department, a limited number of patient beds, procedure rooms, diagnostic imaging and labs. Planning and design approvals could take several months, and its doubtful construction will begin for at least a year.
Grey Bruce Health Services is hosting the information session to answer residents' questions and to provide the latest information.
The meeting is Tuesday, November 25, at the Annesley United Church in Markdale, starting at 7pm.
