More federal money is earmarked for the Stratford Perth Museum.
The government is providing $34,000 to support the Museum's renovation and expansion project.
The Stratford Perth Museum has a permanent collection of over 20,000 artifacts dating from the early 1800s.
The collections include railway equipment; medical and military objects; Depression glass; agricultural, industrial and architectural artifacts; quilts and clothing.
Alan Smith will begin his new role with the municipality on July 20.
