Knights muzzle Bulldogs 4-1

Billy Moskal scored a goal and an assist in the London Knights' 4-1 win over the Hamilton Bulldogs Saturday at FirstOntario Centre.

It's the fourth win out of the last five games for London, who now have 93 points atop the OHL Western Conference standings.

Defence on both sides set the tone early in this contest. Liam Foudy scored for the Knights at 16:21 of the first period, his 35th goal of the season.

There was no scoring in the middle frame, with the Bulldogs having a 22-14 edge over London on shots through the first 40 minutes of play.

The Knights split the game open with three unanswered goals. Connor McMichael scored at 6:03, Moskal provided insurance over three minutes later and Joey Keane scored an empty-netter late in regulation. The Bulldogs averted a shutout when Arthur Kaliyev scored his 50th goal of the year on the power play with 41 seconds left in the game.

Jordan Kooy stopped all but one of the 28 shots he faced in goal for London. Zachary Roy had 24 saves for Hamilton.

London completes its weekend road trip in Erie on Sunday afternoon.
