London Knights forward Alex Turko has been suspended for ten games for a head check during London's game against the Mississauga Steelheads on Sunday.
The Ontario Hockey League issued the suspension on Wednesday, after Turko cross checked Steelheads player Trent Fox during the second period of Sunday's game.
Following a review of the incident, the league determined that Fox was struck by a blindside hit, which connected directly with his head, and Turko made no attempt to play a loose puck.
Turko's suspension will take effect immediately.
