The London Knights dominated the Saginaw Spirit 5-1 at Budweiser Gardens on Friday.
After a scoreless first period, JJ Piccinich scored just over seven minutes into the second, followed by Janne Kuokkanenm, to make it 2-0 for London.
Saginaw cut the Knights' lead in half by scoring 2:14 into the final period, but London responded with three straight goals by Dante Salituro, Janne Kuokkanen and Alex Formenton.
London goaltender Tyler Parsons made 26 saves out of 27 shots on net.
The Knights and the Spirit will face off again in Saginaw on Saturday. The puck drops at 7:05pm.
