A garden centre that has been a long-time staple of Simcoe has been destroyed by fire.
The blaze broke out at Ryerse Garden Gallery at 777 Norfolk Street North around 4:30 Thursday morning. The flames quickly engulfed the store front and greenhouses.
Norfolk OPP had to shut down the street between 14th Street East and Davis Street to allow firefighters to battle the blaze.
No injuries have been reported and a damage estimate has not yet been released.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
Fire investigators are expected to be on scene for much of the day.
