Arva resident faces drug charges

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Middlesex Centre have arrested a 30-year-old after a search warrant was executed.

On Tuesday, members of the Middlesex-Elgin Community Street Crime Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team, executed the warrant on a house on Medway Road in Arva.

About $12,000 in suspected illicit drugs were confiscated, along with about $10,000 in Canadian cash.

The Arva resident has been charged possession of cocaine with intent to sell, possession of opioids with intent to sell, and obstructing a peace officer.

The suspect is held for bail. The charges have not been proven in court.

The OPP say the investigation is ongoing.
