One person perished in a house fire in Tillsonburg Saturday morning.
Emergency services responded to a residence on John Pound Road around 1 a.m.
A neighbor called 911 after being alerted of the situation entering the garage and detecting thick smoke.
Oxford County OPP say firefighters found an individual in the front room who was pronounced dead despite life-saving efforts.
Fire crews supressed the blaze and have since cleared the area.
The scene is currently secured by OPP and will be released when the investigation is complete.
Police have not released any details on the deceased and the cause of the fire was deemed not suspicious.
