A Strathroy-Caradoc man faces half a dozen weapons charges after a loaded gun and two knives were seized from a vehicle in the east-end of the town.
Strathroy-Caradoc police stopped the vehicle just before 3 p.m. on Monday.
"There were two male adults in the vehicle and the driver was found to have a suspended drivers licence and was wanted on arrest warrants by another local police service," police said.
A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded Glock pistol with 37 rounds of ammunition in a prohibited magazine, two knives and additional ammunition.
A 47-year-old man is charged with unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited device, unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm in vehicle, possession of restricted firearm with ammunition, tampering with a serial number, possession of a firearm contrary to prohibition order, driving while under suspension, and speeding.
The man was held for a bail hearing in London court, which was scheduled for Tuesday.
