Pickup truck sought in White Oaks-area arson probe

London police have identified a vehicle of interest in an arson investigation that began last week when a vehicle went up in flames in the driveway of a home in the White Oaks neighbourhood.

Emergency crews were called about the vehicle fire in the area of Rosamond Crescent and Ernest Avenue around 12:25 a.m. last Friday. The homeowner had spotted the vehicle ablaze and called 911, police said.

The fire was extinguished without incident and no one was hurt.

The police street crime unit took over the investigation and after reviewing video surveillance from the area identified a vehicle of interest in the case. Investigators are looking for an older model white four-door pickup truck that was in the area shortly before the fire was discovered.

They are also asking anyone who may have been in the area and has dash-cam or video surveillance from between 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
