Three people seriously hurt in multi-vehicle crash west of Thamesford

A multi-vehicle crash east of London sent three people to hospital.

The vehicles collided on Dundas Street (Highway 2) between Hunt Road and 13th Line, west of Thamesford, around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Three passengers from one of the vehicles suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries. They were all taken to hospital for treatment.

Oxford OPP did not release the exact number of vehicles involved, however, there are reports a transport truck and an SUV were among them.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, police said on Friday.

Dundas Street was closed for several hours while emergency crews were on scene. It has since reopened.

The crash came just hours before a fatal collision in Oxford County. A 48-year-old Londoner was killed when their vehicle collided with another at the intersection of Pigram and Salford roads around 6:45 p.m.
