Nearly a dozen charges have been laid against a 41-year-old person after Woodstock police seized a loaded handgun from a vehicle.
Officers with the criminal intelligence and drug enforcement unit with the assistance of the community response unit searched the vehicle on Friday after receiving information the owner had a firearm.
The search turned up the loaded weapon.
A Mississauga resident is charged with six counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order and one count each of careless storage of a firearm, authorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, and failure to comply with a release order.
