A 51-year-old man is facing charges after alleged child pornography was found on electronic devices seized during an unrelated investigation by London police.
Officers with the police service's sexual assault and child abuse section searched a home in the area of Adelaide Street North and Oxford Street East on February 7. During the search, electronic devices were seized, police said in a statement on Monday.
Evidence of suspected child pornography was allegedly found on those devices. As a result, the investigation was reassigned to the police internet child exploitation unit.
David Rodney Giesbrecht, 51, of London, is charged with unlawfully possessing child pornography. He is currently in custody on unrelated matters and will appear in court in relation to the new charge on March 28.
