A secondary student has been left without their specialized mobility and exercise tricycle after a theft at an east London school.
A man was caught on video surveillance entering the unnamed high school around 6:40 a.m. on February 26. He is alleged to have stolen a paediatric tricycle that was purchased for a student who suffers from mobility issues.
A Thames Valley District School Board spokesperson confirmed the tricycle was snatched from Clarke Road Secondary School. They did not provide comment on how the intruder was able to gain access to the school, citing the ongoing police investigation.
London police released a photo of the suspect on Thursday in hopes the public will be able to identify the man. He is described as White with long dark hair and was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket with a dark fur collar, a fluorescent yellow hoodie, and a blue or purple t-shirt.
The stolen tricycle, which has yet to be recovered, is described as green “CFG Rofton” with white spokes.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
