Firefighters battle suspicious early morning blaze

London firefighters were busy Sunday morning as they dealt with a fire at a vacant house.

Crews responded just after 2 a.m. to a fully involved fire at an address on Oxford Street West address, just west of Wonderland Road.

According to the fire department, high winds were a factor in putting out the blaze. Hand lines were originally used, but as the winds started to spread the fire, crews had to switch to aerial operations.

The fire was considered out and crews were cleared just after 6 a.m.

No injuries have been reported.

While the investigation into the cause is ongoing, the fire is considered suspicious.
