Crews responded just after 4:30 a.m. to a structure fire on Colborne Street, near Simcoe Street.
"Fire crews did an exceptional knockdown and limited the damage to the new construction building," a social media post said.
Fire inspectors have estimated the damage at $25,000.
The fire has been deemed suspicious.
