Suspect in Woodstock-area robbery being sought

Oxford OPP are asking for the public's help identifying a suspect in a robbery at a convenience store north of Woodstock.

A man walked into the business on Highway 59 in Huntingford around 10 p.m. on Wednesday and demanded cash from the clerk. The suspect then took off running from the store.

No injuries were reported.

Police did not disclose how much, if any, money was obtained or whether a weapon was used during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a White man, who was wearing a black balaclava, black hoodie with grey hoodie underneath, light washed blue jeans with rips and tears, and black socks with no shoes. A surveillance photo of the suspect was also released to the public.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect or who has surveillance footage from the surrounding area leading up to or after the incident is asked to call police at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
