A St. Thomas woman is accused of biting a security guard at a downtown organization that offers assistance to the homeless.
St. Thomas police were called to the unnamed organization on Friday. Officers determined during an altercation between a woman and a security guard the guard was bitten.
A 45-year-old woman from St. Thomas was arrested.
She has since been charged with one count of assault and was released from custody with a future court date.
Police did not release the name of the organization, stating only that it provides services to the marginalized and unhoused.
