A London man faces charges after police allege he sexually assaulted a sex worker.
According to London police, it happened on December 9, 2023 at a hotel on Wellington Road in south London. Police say the man contacted the victim in response to an online ad for sexual services. The man agreed to meet the woman at the hotel that afternoon.
"The suspect male arrived at the hotel at approximately 1:45 p.m., and through the course of the interaction, the man demanded services which were not agreed upon," police said in a media release issued Tuesday. "The woman was sexually assaulted by the man. She did not sustain any physical injuries."
An investigation was launched by the Human Trafficking Unit of the London Police Service.
That investigation led to charges of sexual assault and obtaining sexual services for consideration against a 42-year-old London man.
He will appear in court in February.
