St. Thomas police have laid charges against five more people in a fraud investigation that began earlier this year.
The investigation stems from incidents involving a person going to various financial institutions in southwestern Ontario to get loans and lines of credit allegedly using forged photo identification and bank documents.
In September a 30-year-old Fingal woman was arrested and charged with 23 offences including possession of stolen property obtained by crime, identity theft, and forgery.
Police announced on Wednesday a second suspect, a 31-year-old woman, had been arrested. She has been charged with one count each of identity theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
Arrest warrants have also been issued for four other people - three men and a woman.
Kenneth McClain, 38, is charged by way of warrant with identity theft and possession of property obtained by crime.
Anthony Mizon, 33, is wanted for identity theft, possession of property obtained by crime, and failure to comply with probation order.
John MacIntyre, 45, and Taylor Winder, 30, are charged by way of warrant with identity theft.
