A London man who allegedly set up a sexual meeting with a young person he met online arrived to find police instead.
Waterloo Regional Police were conducting an undercover child pornography investigation online last month when a man began chatting with an officer posing as a youth. The man is alleged to have initiated the contact and described sexual acts he wanted to perform with the individual he believed to be a youth.
The man made plans to meet the youth in-person "for a sexual purpose", police said. However, when he arrived at the meeting place he was arrested by officers.
A 43-year-old London man is charged with two counts of making child pornography available and one count of luring a child.
The man, whose name was not released, was held in custody for a bail hearing.
