A London man is facing charges after a police raid on a north-end home turned up nearly a dozen guns and other weapons.
Officers with the guns and gangs section, the emergency response unit, and the canine unit searched a home in the area of Hastings Drive and Milford Crescent around 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday. Inside police found a semi-automatic pistol, a replica double barrel Derringer pistol, three air pellet pistols, multiple airsoft and pellet guns, an expandable baton, three canisters of pepper spray, and ammunition.
A 30-year-old London man was arrested. He has been charged with three counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition and two counts of possessing a restricted or prohibited firearm without a license and registration certificate.
The man remains in police custody and is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Friday.
