London police say two people are facing charges after the driver of a stolen car hit another vehicle and a building.
Around 5 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, a London police officer was driving on Exeter Road when they saw a man driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.
"When the officer pulled the police cruiser directly behind the suspect vehicle to prevent it from moving, the driver attempted to flee from police, driving forward and striking a nearby vehicle and building," police said.
More officers were called to the scene and, according to police, the driver was told to turn the engine off but refused.
The driver and a female passenger were taken into custody.
An investigation led to charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 against a 31-year-old London man and a 38-year-old woman from Courtland.
The London man is also charged with dangerous driving, driving while prohibited, and failing to stop for police.
