OPP investigating fatal single vehicle crash

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after an individual died following a single-vehicle collision in Elgin County.

Emergency crews responded, at around 11:30 p.m. Friday, to a vehicle that rolled over at the intersection of Furnival Road and Johnston Line.

The driver, a 29-year-old from West Elgin, was the only person in the vehicle, police said.

The individual was pronounced dead at the scene. The OPP will not be releasing the person's name out of respect for the family.

A section of Furnival Road was temporarily closed for the investigation but has since been reopened.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
