Provinical police are searching for a pair of suspects that allegedly stole a vehicle from London before abandoning it where Middlesex County meets Lambton County.
At around 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, Middlesex County OPP were called to an address on Kerwood Road near Ausable Road in North Middlesex after a vehicle was found unoccupied.
An investigation determined the vehicle had been reported stolen from London. It was later seen travelling in Lambton County by officers who tried stopping it, however the driver sped off.
The OPP issued an advisory just after 8 p.m. Wednesday saying an investigation was being conducted near Kerwood and Ausable roads and the public was asked to steer clear of the area.
Police located the vehicle abandoned with GPS and members of the Lambton OPP K9 Unit and Emergency Response Team arrived to assist Middlesex OPP as it was reported that two suspects fled from the vehicle on foot.
The two individuals have not been located and the investigation remains ongoing.
