A driver pulled over for driving too slowly on a road southwest of West Lorne was allegedly impaired at the time.
An Elgin OPP officer clocked the vehicle traveling at 50 km/h below the posted speed limit on Talbot Line near Graham Road just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
The officer observed signs of intoxication while speaking with the driver and administered a roadside alcohol screening device, which is alleged to have registered a fail.
The driver was taken to the local detachment for further testing.
A 58-year-old Leamington man has since been charged with impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. The man's licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
The man is scheduled to appear in court on October 17.
