A loaded gun, over 600 rounds of ammunition, and $36,280 worth of drugs were seized by police in coordinated searches in south London and Etobicoke Tuesday morning.
Officers with the London police guns and gangs section and emergency response unit raided four storage units, a vehicle, and a hotel room. The searches turned up a loaded .44 caliber revolver, 240 grams of suspected cocaine, 1078 grams of suspected psilocybin, 200 5mg oxycontin tablets, two grams of suspected fentanyl, and more than 600 rounds of ammunition.
A quantity of cash was also seized.
A 30-year-old Toronto man has been charged with eight offences including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a loaded regulated firearm, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm or ammunition.
He was scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges Tuesday.
