Woodstock police have charged three individuals as part of a drug trafficking investigation late last week.
On September 1, members of the Woodstock Police Service Criminal Intelligence and Drug Enforcement Unit, with assistance of the Emergency Response Unit and Community Response Unit conducted a pair of searches of properties in town.
During the probe, officers located a number of items including a taser, a crossbow, an imitation firearm, an unspecified quantity of cocaine, and cash.
Three people, ages 29, 47, and 51, all of Woodstock, are charged with possession of a schedule one substance (cocaine) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The 51-year-old accused faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
All three are scheduled to appear in court next month.
