The search for a London man who went missing in Lake Erie continues into the long weekend.
Elgin OPP, the Canadian Coast Guard, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, and local firefighters, are searching the water near Port Stanley for the 64-year-old man.
He was a passenger on a 25-foot sailboat who went missing after going for a swim on Thursday.
Emergency crews were called just before 3:50 p.m. when he failed to return to the boat, police said.
On Sunday, Elgin OPP posted on social media that they are working with the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) in their continued search. Constable Brent Phair advised boaters in the Port Stanley area that they would see an increased police presence on the water and urged everyone to ensure they use proper safety gear.
The man's name has not been released.
