Police seize fentanyl, cocaine after three vehicle crash

A three-vehicle crash north of London has led to drug charges against a 54-year-old Seaforth man.

Middlesex OPP were called to the crash at Highbury Avenue and Medway Road in Middlesex Centre just after 6:30 a.m. Friday. Officers determined a vehicle collided with another vehicle in the intersection before striking a second vehicle and then a house.

The driver, an adult man, took off running. A passerby who attempted to follow him stopped after being threatened, police said.

After a brief search by officers the man was found hiding in a nearby bean field. Approximately $6,000 worth of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine was seized.

A Seaforth man has been charged with seven offences including uttering threats, possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, driving while under suspension, failure to remain, and failure to comply with release order.

One of the other drivers involved in the crash was taken to hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The house that was struck did not have any structural damage.
