All users of the drinking water system in the Town of Drumbo are under a boil water advisory.
Southwestern Public Health said in a release that a pressure loss at a Drumbo water treatment on Sunday may have compromised the water supply. As a result, a boil water advisory has been put in place as a precaution, in case of potential contamination of the drinking water system.
Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ninh Tran, is advising that users should bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using it for domestic purposes including drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing raw foods, and making ice.
The advisory is in place until bacteriological tests prove the water to be safe.
More information about boil water advisories can be found here.
Southwestern Public Health will update their website once the order is rescinded.
