An overnight fire has left a home in Old South with extensive interior damage.
Residents discovered the blaze when they returned home to the single-storey house on Byron Avenue East, just east of Wharncliffe Road around 1:30 a.m. Thursday. They called firefighters who quickly arrived and extinguished the flames.
No injuries were reported.
Damage is estimated at $250,000, fire officials said.
Fire investigators, along with London police, will be on scene for much of the morning Thursday probing the cause and origin of the fire.
